About Freya
I am a vocal coach with over 6 years of experience and a DMA in Vocal Performance. I enjoy teaching adult beginners, hobbyists, and those returning to singing after a pause. My students often sing in community choirs, at karaoke, or for casual social fun.
I focus on creating a relaxed, supportive learning environment. Breathwork, posture, and vocal relaxation are essential tools I emphasise for free, confident singing. Mindfulness in music encourages presence and connection with your sound. Tone development is gradual and enjoyable, helping students build self-assurance.
I teach a variety of genres, including Jazz, Folk, Blues, and Contemporary Adult music. Singing is more than skill—it's self-expression, creativity, and self-care. Lessons are hands-on, interactive, and tailored to your interests. Whether starting fresh or returning to music, singing can bring joy at any age. Together, we make your voice the focus and fun the priority.

My teaching philosophy centres on healthy, sustainable singing. I help singers build stamina for performances, manage fatigue, and care for their voices before and after shows.
Students practise techniques that prevent strain while enhancing tone, agility, and expressiveness. I guide The Soloist in Training and The Church Ensemble Player to preserve their instrument for professional longevity. Breath support, posture, and mindful vocal habits are emphasised daily.
We cover pre- and post-performance routines, hydration, and recovery practices. Lessons are interactive, personalised, and practical. The goal is to help singers maintain endurance, confidence, and vocal flexibility.
Together, we focus on preserving the voice while developing musical excellence. Your voice is your career, and I help you protect it for years to come.
