• 1) When did you first develop a passion for music and your favorite instrument?

  My first passion for music blossomed during my teenage years. I was mesmerized by the local musicians in my small town who played the guitar with such soul and fervor. It inspired me to work hard on my singing, even though I initially sounded like a crow.

• 2) Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

  I can listen to soul music on a loop without it ever driving me crazy. Bands like Seafret, Cigarettes After Sex, and Arctic Monkeys create music that feels like a warm hug, and I particularly love their work.

• 3) Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

  One of the most riveting courses I could give would be "Exploring the Emotional Depths of Music." This course would focus on how to convey emotions through your instrument or voice, diving deep into the techniques that make music resonate on a personal level. We would explore different genres, analyze iconic performances, and work on translating personal experiences into musical expression.

• 4) What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

  I believe the most complicated instrument to master is one that hasn't been invented yet. Every instrument has its unique challenges, but what's important is that every student has their own unique talents and capacities. The beauty of music lies in its endless possibilities and the individuality each musician brings to their craft.

• 5) What are your keys to success?

  My keys to success are enthusiasm, passion, and discipline. However, I don't rely merely on motivation from a teacher. Success in music comes from a deep personal drive to create something new from what you already know. This personal journey and creative process is a better teacher than any instructor can be.

• 6) Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

  I would love to meet Chris Martin from Coldplay to understand how he inspires unity and deep emotions through his music. His ability to connect with people on such a profound level intrigues me. Tigran Hamasyan, with his unique blend of diverse music genres and strong national identity, fascinates me. I'd love to collaborate with him and explore the fusion of seemingly unmixable musical styles. Lastly, Aurora's music has a magical quality that makes me feel like I can fly. Meeting her and understanding her creative process would be an extraordinary experience.

• 7) Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

  During my days at music school, I remember a particularly challenging performance where everything seemed to go wrong. My guitar string broke just before I went on stage, and I had to borrow a friend's guitar at the last minute. Despite the initial panic, that performance turned out to be one of my best. It taught me the importance of adaptability and staying calm under pressure, invaluable lessons for any musician.

• 8) What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

  My understanding and empathy towards my students, coupled with the realization that music is not just a talent but a skill that can be developed, are what make me a Superprof. I believe anyone can learn music with the right approach, dedication, and support.
