About Shashvi
Hello! I'm Shashvi, and I'm a serial entrepreneur. I'm currently pursuing a Master's degree in Entrepreneurship from McMaster University, and currently building another tech startup! I am a naturally inquisitive person who constantly loves to find problems to solve. During my undergrad (Computer Science), I delved into every single domain I could think of. Advertising, Game Development, Augmented Reality, Real Estate, Human resources and so many more just trying to find problems to solve. With my knowledge of building applications, I just started making products just for the love of it and started selling it away for a tiny amount of money. But then all of that changed when I turned 20. I had a super fun idea in the HR tech space and I reached out to potential investors. In the span of 1 month, my team and I raised $200,000 as a seed fund for our product. This was my first taste of entrepreneurship! We were building a product to help increase team chemistry by utilizing our Patented methodology that utilized Psychometrics and Skill tracking to create efficient teams and reduce attrition rates in companies (I know! It's a mouthful). We put in 2 years of our lives into building this, but eventually we had to stop. The product failed, and we had to close shop. But I don't consider this to be a defeat. I was 20 when this started. I had no one to guide me, no one to show me the right path, and no other way to learn but from my mistakes. Those 2 years changed my entire perspective on building successful businesses. Soon after, I helped start an Ed-tech company (B2B, worked with Universities and Colleges). Within 1.5 years, we went from an idea to 150 clients across the country! We won a few government grants, made an ARR of close to 750k, and raised a couple of rounds of funding, eventually bringing us to a valuation of around US$5 million! I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but in my country (India), it's a crazy amount of money! We went from being a 3-member team to a 20-person operation where I handled Product, Technology, and a good chunk of Sales & Marketing. Eventually, I made a successful exit from that company and decided to explore new opportunities. With all the connections I had made through my Ed-tech company, I decided to also be a mentor during my non-working hours. I started out mentoring Undergrad and Grad students through Workshops and Seminars on Ideation, Rapid Prototyping, Launch Strategies, Sales & Marketing, and so much more. I had the time of my life teaching people this domain that I loved! And now, I'm in a new country, working on creating something awesome while earning a Master's degree in Entrepreneurship to truly showcase my learnings in the fields of creating businesses that are viable, future-proof and innovative. I want to leave a legacy of helping people achieve their dreams, and I can't think of a better way to do it than by teaching. I'm excited to hear from you and help you chase your million-dollar idea!

Most first-time entrepreneurs go in the wrong direction of trying to build things. They feel overwhelmed, don't know where to start, and eventually end up dropping ideas because of the project overwhelm and lack of direction. I want to change this. My goal is to teach students all the tools they need to build a startup from start to finish. Most courses focus on generic startup building techniques and can be outdated. I personally help by providing 1-on-1 feedback to guide the student through their startup journey. Lessons are put across as follows: 1. Identifying Critical Problem Statements: Improving the quality of life for any entity 2. Idea to Napkin Pitch: Choosing an idea through filtering mechanisms to refine your idea to a 30-second pitch. 3. Rapid Prototyping: Creating your first POC (Proof of Concept) within 2 weeks and under $100. (Breaking down your startup into the simplest possible product to build) 4. Market Validation: Testing your POC and understanding insights. 5. Pivot: Go / No Go decision factors that help you understand customer usage of your product. 6. Creating a legal entity: Should you incorporate a company? 7. Don't be a Feature Factory: 'Now' is the best time to launch 8. Launch Strategies: When, Where, How, Why of Launching your startup. 9. Post-Launch Strategies: Marketing (Digital, Physical, and Traditional Media) 10. Post-Launch Strategies: Sales (B2C, Enterprise, and B2B strategies) 11. Metrics: Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and what is relevant for you? 12. Revenue: Maximizing Revenue while minimizing User Friction. 13. Capital Funding: VCs, Angel Investors, Banks, and more strategies. More than a tutor, I wish to be a 'Mentor' for people trying to chase their dreams. I believe that every idea is worth pursuing for at least a month (and if it doesn't work out, it's okay! You learned something from it without burning too much time & money). I hope to teach my fellows a few valuable lessons in creating solutions that impact humanity positively and create solutions that can leave a good impact on the world. The lessons I teach are for High School, Undergraduate, and Graduate students. You don't need any qualifications for this course. All you need is your imagination and drive to build something interesting. It could be a Pizza Store or a B2B SaaS conglomerate. It's all up to your capabilities and skills. I look forward to helping build your million-dollar business!
