I think that one of the best ways to truly learn something is to teach it to someone else. I like to use different methods to align with each student. Some examples for a math session can include step-by-step problem explanations, conceptual learning through proofs, homework review, and practice questions/exams. The goal is for the student to be able to teach the material back at the end of the session. I am very laid-back, compassionate, and thorough. I'm open to any type of student (degree, age, level, etc.), though I am probably most knowledgeable in middle school, high school, and college-level material. Besides math, I can tutor for English, Anatomy, Physiology, and Psychology.
