As a tutor, my approach is centered around imparting a deep understanding of the underlying problem-solving methods and mindset to my students, rather than just focusing on specific solutions to individual problems. I believe that by cultivating a strong foundation in fundamental principles and critical thinking skills, students can tackle a wide range of challenges effectively.

In terms of teaching methods, I strive to create an engaging and interactive learning environment. I encourage active participation from my students, incorporating discussions, hands-on activities, and practical examples to illustrate concepts. I emphasize the importance of asking questions and exploring different approaches to problem-solving, fostering a sense of curiosity and intellectual growth. By providing real-world examples and relating theoretical concepts to practical applications, I aim to enhance students' understanding and make the subject matter more relatable and accessible.

A typical lesson plan with me involves a structured progression, starting with a brief review of relevant foundational knowledge. From there, I introduce new concepts or problem-solving techniques, breaking them down into manageable components. I provide step-by-step explanations, offer examples to illustrate the principles, and encourage students to practice applying the concepts through exercises and problem-solving scenarios. Throughout the lesson, I continually assess the students' understanding and address any misconceptions or difficulties they may encounter. I also value the importance of personalized attention, tailoring the lesson plan to each student's specific needs and learning style.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my extensive academic and research background in Aerospace Engineering, coupled with my experience working on multiple research projects for the university and the Department of Defense (DOD). This real-world experience allows me to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and practical applications, providing valuable insights and a unique perspective to my students. Additionally, my emphasis on problem-solving methods and mindset equips students with the tools to approach complex problems independently, fostering self-reliance and critical thinking skills.

My lessons are designed to cater not only to students pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field, but also to high school students studying Calculus and Physics. I understand the importance of building a strong foundation in these subjects as they form the basis for higher-level studies in engineering and sciences. Whether it's tackling derivatives, integrals, kinematics, or forces, I can provide comprehensive support and guidance to help high school students excel in their Calculus and Physics courses.
