About Tyra
Nashville clubs and Austin stages taught me everything. These 13 years spent touring defined my craft. I am a self-taught player who built a career from the ground up, currently sharing those hard-won lessons as a 13-year-old near-peer coach.
My hands-on style prioritizes your musical growth over stiff academic exercises, ensuring you stay motivated while we build your skills. I cover everything from maintenance and tuning to lead guitar and blues progressions. We will also tackle chord transitions, music theory, songwriting, reading tabs, and strumming patterns to keep you sharp. I am ready to guide you through the same arc I traveled.

Chords ringing out clearly for the first time is the best part of the process. You sit down with your instrument and realize that playing music is actually within reach when we focus on songs you enjoy.
I guide you through the nuance of your own tracks or classic hits, showing you how guitar and voice function as one unit. We maintain a steady pace for 10 minutes of focus per core concept.
This structure ensures you actually use what you learn in real playing situations. I incorporate a monthly recorded review of progress so you can hear exactly how far your technique has evolved. You will receive clear, actionable feedback on every chord change and strumming pattern we practice together. It keeps the energy high while we work through the details of your favorite songs, letting the progress speak for itself.
