About Alexandrea
I have taught English literature and language for a long time in a number of UK secondary schools. I have recently branched out into online tutoring to help students gain a more in-depth insight into literary texts and exam questions. Working with students one-to-one allows for lessons to be catered specifically to individual needs in order to provide more focused progress.
I have a deep love of literature, which is what led me to study literature at university, and I enjoy discussing the subject with my students, as well as analysing texts to find the deeper meanings and interpretations hidden between the lines.

As a tutor, I typically work online providing 50-minute lessons. I use my experience from secondary teaching to provide lessons generally catered to GCSE or A-level students. I can help with exam preparation, essay writing, revision, and improving understanding of texts. A typical lesson structure usually consists of recapping and revising a specific skill or text, writing an example exam answer together, leading to a piece of more independent writing.
I have a BA(Hons) degree in English literature and language and a Postgraduate degree in secondary education. I have taught in UK secondary schools for over eight years now and have experience in teaching Key Stage three, GCSE, and A-level subjects.
