About Suhana
My name is Suhana, and I'm here to support your mathematical journey. I have a strong understanding of the curriculum and how to explain tricky concepts in a way that actually makes sense. Maths can be overwhelming, so I aim to build confidence through simple explanations and lots of active practice. I'm patient and friendly, creating a stress-free environment which allows learning to be more efficient and enjoyable. Whichever grade a student is aiming for, I adapt my teaching style to match their needs.

I will start lessons by working out strengths and weaknesses of the student and gain insight on what they already know. Instead of jumping straight into memorisation, I will make sure the student understands the concept which will allow them to work on higher level problem-solving questions. Students learn best whilst they are active, so I will use active teaching as well as guided practice to ensure they know what they are doing and build confidence. As I am a sixth form student and have recently completed my GCSEs (attaining a strong Grade 8), I have experience on exam-style questions and what the exam boards expect a student to give their solutions. Each session will be an hour long. I teach ages 13-16 (GCSE).
