About Tara
I am currently a second year Medical sciences student at the University of Exeter. I aim to study postgraduate Medicine once I have completed my undergraduate degree.
My A levels consist of Biology (A*), Maths (A), Chemistry (A) and Psychology (A). My GCSEs include Chemistry (9), Physics (9), Maths (9), Further maths (9), Biology (8).
I started Year 10 struggling hugely with the sciences and I was behind in class for months. However by the end of Year 11, I managed to make these my best subjects in my GCSEs, and proceeded to choose them at A level (and now my university degree is all about science!). This was due to amazing teachers and tutors who made me understand and love the subjects. I strive to do the same for other people, especially those who struggle or dislike the subjects.

My lessons are aimed for students at GCSE level (Year 9, 10, 11).
Lessons will consist of explanations (written or visual) backed up by textbooks and official exam board websites, as well as my own GCSE and A level notes.
Practice questions will be used to consolidate learning, with specific emphasis on exam paper questions.
Lessons will be up to 2 hours long per session.
Despite never having tutored before, throughout my GCSEs and A levels, I helped my peers to consolidate content. I was also tutored myself and so I have an understanding of what it is like to need help and how best to provide it to others in a supportive and straightforward way.
