About Ashley
Hi! I'm a highly academic Design Engineering student proficient in maths and science! I've been tutoring since 16 and have developed a genuine passion for sharing knowledge and helping students build confidence in technical subjects. I first started tutoring privately to family members, and then was a mentor at my school in GCSE maths and science. I continued tutoring in my gap year, teaching A-level maths privately, and currently I mentor for a programme for 1st year female engineering students. I always tailor my teaching style to the student's needs. Given my studies in engineering and passion for teaching, I promise to support my students as best as I can!

I like to teach by outlining key points in the curriculum and working through each topic systematically by working through exam and self-made questions. With maths and science, I feel the biggest struggle is navigating content and questions. For this reason, I prefer to teach in small groups or individually so I can focus on small details the student may have missed or not properly grasped. Typically, my lessons are 1 to 2 hours, and I've taught ages 8-17. My experience: - Private tutoring KS2 SATS Maths - Group mentoring GCSE Maths - Private tutoring A level Maths I currently work at a 1:1 (first class) in my engineering degree. My strongest subjects are Maths and Science.
