Funny story: someone once reached out to me to make a birthday dress. I had no clue what I was doing. I was self-taught, just learning how to use a sewing machine, but I didn’t want to say no. I just knew I wanted to make that dress! So I started looking for an instructor to help me, and that’s when I found Yelé.

Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of being part of Runway Revolution Season 3 and have been exposed to so many amazing opportunities I’m truly grateful for. I walked away from every session with new skills from pattern drafting , to technical skills and more.

I was a part of the 10-week runway Revolution cohort and was able to make a whole collection for our fashion show. If pattern drafting and sewing something you want to achieve Yele is the perfect teacher for this. She was my teacher in 2023 and because of her knowledge about drafting I’ve had the opportunity to also start teaching drafting and finding a career working with real clients such as prom and weddings.
