About Linda
I have a Science degree, with majors in Chemistry and Biochemistry, and a PhD in Biochemistry. I also have a Diploma of Education (Science and Junior Maths). I have 8 years experience teaching in universities and have tutored high school and university students for the past few years. I tutor in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry and Maths (Junior and Standard level senior Maths). My students usually gain a lot of confidence and their results improve throughout the year. I'm very patient and understanding, and good at identifying where students have gaps in their understanding. I try to instil a joy of learning about Science. My experience as a scientist helps me to show students real-life applications and examples, which makes learning more interesting.

I work with students on their existing class materials but then try to find other things such as videos and computer apps that will help to illustrate hard concepts in a way students will understand. This works well particularly for visual learners.
