About Robert
I am a scientist working in mathematical physics (mainly), but also some pure mathematics, fluid mechanics, and occasionally engineering and computer science. My experience in scientific research is over 30 years. From 2011 I have been an academic teacher (adjunct professor) at University of New Mexico, teaching classes in heat transfer (heavy in both mathematics and physics) and calculus 1. I can teach online (I live at Los Alamos and Sierra los Pinos near Jemez Springs). I have no experience in teaching high school students, but I am very patient and can find the best in students.

I gave lessons to engineering students, ran office hours with individual tutoring. Teaching by examples and solving lots of exercises is crucial for good understanding. Of course, theoretical background must be understood as well, and I have extensive and in-depth knowledge of many areas of mathematics and physics, so I can present the theory in many alternative ways, fitting the student's way of thinking.
