About Sophie
I am a qualified science teacher who also has experience tutoring. I am passionate about all of the sciences and want to share this with students, helping them to achieve their best. I have a degree in biochemistry as well as a PGCE, meaning I am highly qualified to tutor biology, chemistry and physics at GCSE level.

I tutor 30 minute - 1 hour sessions for GCSE science or KS3. I use exam style questions as a starting point for all sessions, this helps students practise as well as identifying gaps in knowledge. To fill those gaps I mostly use diagrams and other visual elements such as mind maps to help students to learn/revise. I would then use more exam questions to practise both the content and exam skills. I have tutored this way for 5 years and teach at school in a similar way.
