About Amit
I am a PhD student at Imperial College London (Chemistry) with an MRes and 1st class BSc (Hons) in Chemistry. I have 10 years of experience tutoring both children and professionals. I started tutoring at the early age of 13 and since then it became my passion alongside persuading my career as a scientist in Chemistry.
This led me to teach other subjects, such as English. I am a TEFL and CELTA (Cambridge University) degree qualified teacher, allowing me to teach English to International Students. I also became an examiner of IELTS.
At the moment I am working as a Assistant Academic Director in one of the best school in the UK and World for English learning, alongside my degree at Imperial College London.
I have also worked with Kingston University London as a Curriculum Consultant. Part of my job was the study and the development of effective methodologies of teaching and learning in close contact with students and lecturers of the university.
The passion of teaching also led me to be a mentor to students ranging from High School to University level and young professionals, for many projects and Universities.
In my spare time I like to play the drum, guitar, sing and compose some music. It goes without saying that I also teach drum, tabla and guitar whenever I have the occasion. I also love to read and right diaries.
As you can see, all my life I have been learning and teaching, being surrounded by students not only as a teacher, tutor but also as a mentor. Being a student myself I understand the importance of education. I strongly believe that there is no a bad student, only a bad teacher.
