About Alix
I am a graduate from the University of Nottingham with a First Class degree in English and Hispanic Studies with a Distinction in spoken Spanish, currently studying an MSc Speech and Language Therapy.
I spent one year working as an English Teaching Assistant at a high school in Altea, Spain, teaching students 11-16yrs and adult beginners/business English (whole class, small groups, and 1:1).
I also have experience teaching Spanish GCSE at a Nottingham high school, focusing on refining Spanish grammar skills and improving fluency and confidence in preparation for the oral exam.

I am an enthusiastic individual who loves teaching. I believe in building confidence in those I teach, adapting fully to each student's needs, and ultimately building a passion for the Spanish language and culture!
My lessons are a safe space to make mistakes and learn from them in a stress-free environment. For my GCSE and A-Level students, I aim to improve exam and revision strategies whilst improving language skills to help develop more independent language learners.
After every lesson, students will receive a short, personalised report which will be shared on Google docs. This will detail what we worked on during the lesson (including any materials we used), improvements made, and areas to work on.
