About Isaac
I am a junior at the University of California, Riverside, pursuing a combined Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. I have hands-on experience working with students and youth of all ages, from coaching basketball for kids ages 8 to 15, to teaching STEAM concepts to younger cousins and siblings. Outside of academics, I build engineering projects independently for fun, most recently designing and programming a four-legged autonomous robot entirely from scratch. I am detail-oriented, patient, and genuinely passionate about helping students build confidence in subjects that can feel intimidating. I am committed to making every student feel supported and capable of succeeding.

I focus on understanding over memorization. I break concepts down step by step, use real-world examples to make abstract ideas click, and check in frequently to make sure the student is following before moving on.
I start by reviewing what the student struggled with since last time, then introduce or reinforce the concept using examples, work through practice problems together, and finish with a few problems for them to try independently so I can see where they stand.
I am an active Electrical Engineering student, so the material is fresh — I am not teaching from memory from years ago. I also build engineering projects for fun, which means I can show students how the math and science they are learning actually gets used in the real world.
Middle school and high school students in math (pre-algebra through calculus), physics, and introductory coding. I am also comfortable helping students in early college STEM courses.
