About Tom
I am a highly engaging and enthusiastic physics professor with over 20 years of experience teaching students math and physics. I enjoy opportunities to help students think "outside the box" deriving new solutions to old problems through strategic information gathering, data collection, and comprehensive scrutiny. I am a persuasive and concise communicator; experienced in dealing with all levels of student learning for greater comprehension and understanding.

I approach each topic starting at the basic principles and then expand the discussion to draw new connections between similar ideas and patterns. For me it is not about memorizing equations. I use math as a tool where appropriate and rely on other communication skills, both in writing and speaking, to get the concepts across.
