About Lona
My experience is that of an office support person for an automotive component manufacturer and a senior manager for Dept. of Hud, Housing Commission in Jackson MI. Having been retired, not only have I succeeded in being blessed with eight children and numerous grandchildren that have all graduated from high school with a couple graduating from college. During the years, I have tutored at different times, in addition to preparing lessons for hearing/impaired students. Most recently, for the past almost 20 years, I have been the owner and operator of a virtual office support business, relating to transcription, data entry, Power Point presentations, letter writing, typing, etc.

My approach is to stress communication. First, I feel it's important that the student and I become familiar with each other, with an understanding of where the student is academically and what specifically are the student's difficulties, and areas of concern.
