About Chris
I have ben observed by Ofsted on 1:1 lessons and rated Outstanding. I have a record of raising attainment with reluctant learners and those lacking confidence to succeed. I especially enjoy raising learners above the Grade 3 to 4 boundary. In my career I have been Head of Key Stage 4 , Head of Year , Interim Head of Mathematics and Manager of Information and Guidance.

I try to encourage learners to become more independent learners through short introductions and then development through following text and attempting examples , but I am always on hand to assist when things get difficult. Whenever possible I relate learning to eventual career goals or future education pathways. I emphasise the wider opportunities that higher grade GCSE Maths qualifications offer learners.
