About Jan
I am a retired engineer with a passion for maths and sciences/physics.
Early in my career, I did part-time lecturing at college and university levels.
During my career, I also enjoyed mentoring students and young engineers.
When my children were at school I also helped many of their friends and family members to grasp the basic understanding of the subject to successfully prepare them for success and passing the exams.

I have a very practical approach to tutoring and concentrate on giving the student a deeper understanding of the subject.
Students can contact me with specific problems and I will determent the root of the problem that the student has to understand the subject. Often the underlining problem lies with basic concepts that the student must understand.
I am available for tutoring at the secondary school level up to first-year college or university level.
Lessons can be done in English or Afrikaans.
