About Ambika

My name is Ambika and I am a graduate of Religion, Philosophy and Ethics (BA, Hons, 1st). I am a friendly, professional and experienced tutor. I understand the stresses of academic pressures, and would love to support you with your educational journey. I have also spent several years working in academic support in secondary schools. I am familiar with adapting to different learning needs, and creating a learning space which will be beneficial for you. I work in a way which is individualised to you, and your curriculum. If you have a specific way you like to learn, I will adapt to your needs. Always feel free to ask me any questions, or to ask me to teach you something in a different way!

About the lesson

I provide a student centred approach, catering to different learning styles. You tell me how you like to learn, and I will create a plan around this. This could range from discussion based learning, interactive activities, revision techniques, games, looking at past papers - and more! I believe that you are the expert in your own learning style and I will follow this. Sessions are online, and usually for one hour. I use Zoom or Skype.

Ambika tutored my daughter through her RE GCSE and helped her to achieve some amazing results. My daughter was really struggling with this subject and Ambika's encouragement and great lessons plans made a huge impact. She has now taken this subject onto a-level! Highly recommended.

I was recommended Ambika by a friend who achieved a 9 at GCSE RE after receiving tutoring from her through superprof. Since the first session she has been friendly, supportive and catered each lesson to my own pace of learning. She has also prioritised exam skills which has allowed me to improve my grade in my recent mock exams and to generally feel more confident with exam style questions. I would recommend Ambika to any student looking to improve their grades and general essay skills.
