About Wes
My name is Wes, and I am a teacher candidate with a strong background in education, coaching, and student development. I have experience teaching and mentoring students in a variety of settings, including inside the classroom, 1-on-1 tutoring sessions & personal training and athletic coaching. These experiences have helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to adapt explanations to different learning styles.
I am passionate about helping everyone build confidence in their abilities and develop skills that extend beyond the classroom. Whether working through challenging math and physics problems, exploring ideas in the social sciences, or supporting fitness goals, I aim to create a supportive and motivating learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and pushing themselves to improve.

As a teacher candidate and experienced coach, my goal is to help students truly understand concepts rather than simply memorize them. I offer tutoring in business, mathematics, physics, and social sciences, along with fitness coaching for students interested in health and physical performance. My lessons focus on breaking complex ideas into simple, manageable steps and building confidence through guided practice and real-world examples.
A typical lesson begins with identifying problem areas, reviewing key concepts, and then practicing together until the student feels comfortable working independently. I work with middle school, high school, and introductory university students who want to improve grades, prepare for exams, or strengthen their overall understanding.
