About Mitchell
My name is Mitchell and I recently graduated from Colby College, up in Waterville, Maine. I studied Astrophysics and Geology, and I have had internships over the past two summer where I got to do Astronomy research in New Mexico and at Michigan State University. My research has ranged from black holes, to star forming regions, to meteorites.
I believe that my love of Physics stemmed from my high school Physics teachers, whereas my love for Astronomy stemmed from my grandfather, who helped to design and build the Hubble Space Telescope. I would love to help students gain a better understanding of Physics and Math so they can learn to love the inner workings of the universe, and maybe even follow in my foot-steps and study it some day.

I have always loved Physics. I love getting to explore and understand how and why the world works the way that it does.
I understand that many students may not like this subject due to the amount of math and complex concepts it requires. My goal as a tutor has been, and always will be, to help break down these seemingly complex topics into much simpler ones.
I understand that everyone learns differently, and I pride myself on being able to read people and very quickly determine exactly how much help is required for them to succeed. My goal is not to make everyone love Physics and Math, but rather to help students feel confident and happy about their ability to perform in these classes.
