My Approach as a Social Studies Tutor
As a high school social studies teacher, I believe in a student-centered approach that combines historical knowledge with critical thinking skills. I am passionate about making history engaging and relevant to students' lives.
Teaching Method and Techniques:
Active Learning: I prioritize active learning techniques like discussions, debates, and simulations to encourage critical thinking and engagement.
Visual Aids: I utilize maps, timelines, and primary sources to help students visualize historical events and concepts.
Real-World Connections: I connect historical events to current issues to demonstrate the relevance of the past.
Differentiated Instruction: I tailor my lessons to meet the diverse needs of my students, using a variety of teaching strategies and materials.
