About Emily
I am a passionate, enthusiastic and patient individual with tutoring experience and proven academic achievement. I graduated Wenona school in 2018 with an ATAR of 99.45 and was placed on both the All-round and Distinguished achievers list. I recieved the Allard prize for maths and English and have achieved a band 6 result in all of my HSC subjects (Chemistry, Biology, Geography, English Advanced and Maths Ext 1).

I believe the best tutors are patient, encouraging and make lessons enjoyable. I base my teaching methodology around these traits, taking the time to truly explain difficult concepts in innovative ways and coming up with fun (and helpful!) activities. A lesson may start with going through any previous work set or questions that the student has encountered in school, homework or private study. Then usually we will chose a topic of concern with the student and work on that for the remainder of the lesson. This can involve finding unique ways to explain the concept in detail and doing a variety of practice questions to gauge level of understanding.
