About John
During my studies at Bellarmine, I tutored math and physics for three and a half years, earning a Level II Peer Tutor certification from the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA). I would often see 6-7 students a week. I am honored to have helped many students in their academic success, from helping them get A grades to helping them improve from an F or D to a C or B.

I recently graduated with a BS in Physics from Bellarmine University, and I have always enjoyed helping others. My lessons are geared toward high school and early college students in math and physics, including algebra through calculus, elementary statistics, and introductory physics.
I start by setting goals at the beginning of each session according to the needs of the students. Then I explain concepts as needed with an emphasis on example problems, and after one or two examples, I have the students try another problem in order to work with them on problem-solving strategies and to have them take ownership of their learning. I also teach good study habits, test-taking strategies, and other such things as needed.
