About Krystyna
I am a recent SFU graduate with a BSci in Neuroscience, currently working in the fitness industry while seeking new-grad opportunities and applying for graduate schools.
During my university career, I volunteered as an anatomy tutor and had various health and fitness leadership roles which required research and teaching. I enjoyed these positions and found I had a knack for teaching difficult concepts to others and delivering information confidently. I am very empathetic, patient, customer-service focused and have an excellent understanding of the various learning and motivational styles.
I have an excellent understanding of high school and introductory university-level chemistry, biology, and physics. I have experienced my own academic struggle and understand how frustrating it can be, which is why I want to help you get back on track and achieve your academic goals!

My teaching methods depend on the needs of the student. However, I find that an excellent method is to teach confusing concepts to the student and have them work through problems audibly, teaching me the material. Teaching the material to the tutor reinforces concepts well and helps the tutor understand if the student is missing details. In addition, practice problems are essential for any science course, so practicing with a tutor can be very helpful for checking answers and understanding which steps may be incorrect.
