About Lisa
Psychology has always been my passion. I want to tutor students so that they can best understand the myriad ways that psychology can be useful for day-to-day life. Psychology doesn't just help in passing your classes in order to graduate. It can help you in teamwork in the workplace, and in your relationships with family, friends, and significant others. Understanding how people think differently can help students to comprehend the complexities of the human mind and be able to better communicate with others. I find it to be a relief when I don't at first understand people's actions, but then apply my knowledge to see things from their perspective to give me peace about how they respond to me.

I will always treat my students as individuals. I recognize that every student learns differently and will work with each student to figure out their learning style so that I can plan my lessons around how they best learn. I can incorporate with your lessons PowerPoints, handouts, note-taking, quizzes, send daily lesson summaries, written practice work to enforce lessons, etc. Whichever things would most help you understand and retain the information would be how we go about our lessons. I am currently tutoring high school students, undergraduate students, MBA students, students enrolled in Master's degree programs, and adults interested in broadening their knowledge of psychology.
