About Will
I recently completed A levels in Politics, Economics and History achieving As in both, giving me a strong and up-to-date understanding of the subjects and the demands of modern exams. I also hold an unconditional offer to study Politics and International Relations at the University of Bath.
Having recently experienced GCSE and A-level exams myself, I understand the pressure students face and the difference that effective exam technique can make. I focus on showing students how to structure answers, select relevant evidence, develop analysis and meet the exact requirements of the mark scheme.
Alongside my academic experience, I have worked as a primary-school sports coach and held leadership positions in school sport, including serving as vice-captain of my First XV rugby team. These experiences have helped me become a patient, encouraging and reliable teacher who can explain ideas clearly.
My aim is to create focused but comfortable lessons in which students can ask questions, improve their confidence and make measurable progress towards their target grades.

My lessons are focused on helping students succeed in their exams, rather than simply learning information without knowing how to apply it. We will work through past-paper questions, essay plans and timed answers so that students understand exactly what examiners are looking for.
Each lesson will target the student’s weaker areas while developing their exam technique, structure, use of evidence and evaluation. I will provide clear feedback using the relevant mark schemes and show students how to turn their knowledge into higher-mark answers. Lessons will be practical, focused and adapted to the student’s exam board, current level and target grade.
