About Alen
I have recently graduated from the University of Sheffield with an Upper Second-Class degree in Geography (BA) and have had my dissertation submitted to the Royal Geographical Society. Recently, I have been tutoring Chinese children and adults online, teaching them English both 1 on 1 and in groups of 2-6. Although I am a novice, I believe I am a capable and competent tutor who enjoys teaching and helping students learn in a fun and relatable way. Due to my academic experience, I am also able to teach elements of Philosophy and Ethics, having been graded highly at A-Level and extra modules during my time at University.

I have taught Chinese children with very low ability (beginner) as well as adults with high English proficiency, therefore I can cater for a range of abilities and needs. Having mainly taught pre-made lesson plans, I am a patient tutor who welcomes mistakes, since ultimately this is how learning takes place and where progression can be made. I also believe that lessons should be fun and as relatable as possible, since this can also aid the learning process.
