About Alfred
I graduated from the University of Edinburgh in July 2025 where I studied Spanish and History. During my third year, which I spent in Almería in southern Spain, I worked as an English Language Assistant in a small secondary school in the Alpujarra Mountains. While at the school I taught English and History to students of all ages (and even some staff).
I took AQA exam papers at both GCSE and A-Level but I am more than happy to familiarise myself with any exam boards if needed.
I am passionate about history and would love to help you excel and really nail those exams in May!

Having survived GCSE, A-Level, and undergraduate history; I have written more than my fair share of history essays. My classes will be structured like workshops where me and my student will work collaboratively to improve their written work. I would also be happy to share some tips I have regarding time management, exam technique and essay planning. I would expect students to come to class with an example of their work so we could get to work straight away.
As someone who is about to take a master's in journalism, editing and refining written work has always been something I have been good at. I would be looking to tutor students taking GCSE or A-Level history.
My lessons are one hour long, so come prepared so we can really make the most of the time we have.
