Recent Harvard graduate in music and acclaimed tenor from the Boston-area starting his master’s at RNCM this Autumn sharing his love for music.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Arhan both in theatrical productions and through independent coaching. His deep knowledge of vocal technique and music history is matched only by his passion for teaching. Arhan has a unique ability to connect with his students on an emotional level, creating an environment that is both encouraging and inspiring. Arhan was my musical director for a production of Iolanthe and he helped me so much to get the most out of my voice for that role. So appreciative of his help. Arhan also gave me some voice lessons in his role as vocal coach with the Harvard Glee Club. He really helped me to make a full connected sound. I had the pleasure and honor of singing with Arhan in the Harvard Glee Club for two years, during which time he became both a friend and a mentor/voice teacher. Arhan brings exceptional attention to detail, patience, and generosity of spirit to every voice lesson or office hours that he leads. He tirelessly helped me and other choir members with everything from fundamental vocal technique to nuanced musicality and interpretation. I had the pleasure of working with Arhan as a Soprano, and he is one of the kindest and most precise mentors I’ve met. His instructions are always clear, and he creates a supportive, collaborative environment that encourages growth. He not only addresses present technical challenges but also helps students see the long-term potential of their voice, constantly motivating them toward that vision. Working on my middle voice, he helped me achieve more homogeneity across registers, and I truly felt heard, supported, and inspired in every session. His musicality and good knowledge of repertoire is also something students can really benefit from!

Arhan’s knowledge and experience in singing and music is extensive and he certainly he puts it to great use during his lessons. With his help, I navigated the world of opera, musical theatre, and jazz a cappella, and I couldn’t be more thankful for it. He knows the anatomy and techniques for singing very well, and is also well versed in music theory and history. When we first met I was inexperienced but eager to learn, and Arhan was instrumental to my vocal and musical development. Regardless of musical experience, whether it be low or advanced, I would definitely recommend Arhan as a tutor.
