About Katie
My name is Katie Di Scala and I am a 2022 grad of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Math and English
In addition to my coursework experience, I worked in the school's math department, specifically with courses from pre college mathematics and algebra up to precalculus and have experience with tutoring students of all ages.
As a TA my senior year, I have very recent and direct experience teaching a math course at Ohio State, and regularly provided tutoring services through OSU's math center. My skill set as a math tutor is rooted in this direct experience working with students to excel in their math courses.

I always alter the way I teach specific to how you learn and will make sure you fully understand the material before we move on to the next topic.
I understand that students learn differently and some methods are harder to understand than others, so I will continue to bring up alternatives to help find a way that works best for you!
I can teach any subject up to pre calculus (ex. pre algebra, algebra, college algebra, trigonometry, pre calculus)!

Katie was my TA for my freshmen year math 1075 class. I arranged my schedule to make sure I was able to attend her office hours after I realized how big a help she was to me in the class. The professor was often vague and didn’t allow me the opportunity for one on one to ask questions. Katie really cared about making sure I thoroughly understood the material! I highly recommend her!!
Katie helped my son with his ACT/SAT math prep and was a great help in bringing his scores up! She was very attentive and gave him great strategies for the problems he was having difficulty with! Definitely consider using her as your next tutor!
Katie is a warm and welcoming person who makes learning any subject easier. She was the student teacher of my first math class at The Ohio State University, where she took lots of time reviewing over material for the class. She is patient and always makes sure the class is confident with the content before advancing on. Overall, Katie is an amazing teacher and helped me excel in every aspect of my math class!!
Katie student taught my first math class at OSU and made a subject that I usually don’t excel in feel very doable. She independently led our recitation, carefully going over learned material, and because of Katie’s approachable nature, we were all able to comfortably review our material. She worked at our pace and made math feel like less of a chore. Overall she’s a great teacher in her thoroughness but also a super sweet and approachable person to work with!
Katie was TA for my freshman year of college math course. She was not only the kindest teacher I had but definitely the most helpful. She was always willing to answer any questions we had. She was so approachable and truly cared about our learning. Overall, I’m very lucky that I had Katie as my teacher and I wish that I could have her again!
Katie was a huge help when I was studying for my calculus final. Don’t know if I would have passed the class without her!
