About Briana
I am a recent graduate from UCSB and have experience as an educator. I consider myself to be very caring and I genuinely enjoy helping students learn and grow. My teaching experience has taught me the importance of patience, clear communication, and adapting lessons to each student’s individual needs. I like to create supportive environments where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence. I am committed to helping students reach their goals.

I am very patient, encouraging, and personalized. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and are not afraid to make mistakes. I adjust my teaching style based on each student’s learning needs, strengths, and areas for improvement. I use clear explanations, examples, guided practice, questions, and positive feedback to help students understand the material rather than simply memorize it. A typical lesson will include a conversational activity based on the student's wants and needs and will continue with the material. I like to work through examples with the student, and gradually allow them to practice independently while I provide guidance when needed, all while making sure they are comfortable and supported. I have experience working with people of all ages which has strengthened my communication skills and taught me the importance of adapting to different learning styles and needs.
