About Courtney
I served as a French tutor for about 6 months at a Community College I was attending. During that time, I truly fell in love with tutoring French. I am the kind of professor who wants every student to feel comfortable and safe in the classsroom. Formalities are not necessary in my classroom and I prefer students to feel free to express themselves however they wish to do so.

I like to use technology when I teach such as online quizzes, powerpoints, and ressources that can be found online. For beginners, I am more focused on learning and perfecting the "basics". For those who are at an intermediate or advanced level, there would be a weekly discussion of a paper, video, podcast, or news article that they found particularly interesting. The discussion would be fully in French and if students preferred a powerpoint to go along with it, they would be more than welcome to make one. For one-on-one lessons, I think it's important to always keep in mind what the student wants and to try to cater the lesson to the student if possible.
