About Abigail
My name is Abigail and I have been a tutor for the past eight years - I have taught subjects such as writing, science, math and language at all levels. I was a Biochemistry major at the University of Pennsylvania, so my tutoring specialty lies in STEM subjects. I enjoy working with students and aiding their learning and understanding!

My teaching methods and techniques are specifically catered to each student I am working with and their respective learning style. During a lesson, I will typically model problems step-by-step to explain concepts to my student, followed by encouraging them to solve and reason through problems on their own, with my support. I like to incorporate outside resources from books and videos whenever possible as well. As a tutor, what sets me apart is my passion for teaching, patience for working with children and years of experience. My lessons are for K-12 students, with an emphasis on science, math and other STEM subjects.
