About Claire
I have a medial (double major) degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies. I am able to offer services in an array of different subjects pertaning to Arts and Humanities. I have nearly 7 years of experience as a Contract Support Worker, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and/or debilitating mental illness. I am willing and very capable of teaching children, teenagers, and adults alike who struggle in classroom settings and might be classified as "challenging" to teach.

I base my services around an ethos of respect. I understand how important it is for students to feel valued and heard. It is my goal to help students learn and understand course material to the best of their abilities. I make a point to be approchable and trustworthy for all students. I find that students often find it difficilt to focus and absorb academic material when they do not feel at ease with their teacher. As such, I am always sure to speak in a calm and reassuring tone of voice with each of my students. I encourage each of my students to ask any and all questions that come to their mind for clarity, assistance, and general knowledge purposes, so as to enhance their understanding of the material and at hand.
