About Julia
Hi there! Nice to meet you! About me: My full-time career during the day is working as an Environmental Scientist in Texas! I specialize in ecology-related surveys and field work, along with report writing. It is important to have a firm hold on many different biology topics in order to do my job. I hope my expertise will be useful in your tutoring journey!
I graduated with Honors from Kent State University with my Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences. While there, I took advantage of the many education-related classes to best learn how to help others learn!
One of my passions is sharing the world of science with others- once you understand it, the world around you becomes much more interesting!

Let’s face it: Science can be hard. Confusing vocab, abstract concepts…. Even though it’s difficult sometimes, Biology is the way of the world! Understanding this branch of science will help you in so many more ways than just getting an A+ on your next test.
I would love to help you achieve higher test scores and improve your knowledge about all things related to Middle and High School Biology Class.
Cell cycles, genetics, ecology, evolution, biochemistry, and taxonomy are just some of the topics I can help you with.
I began my college education as a secondary science teaching major, and have many classes related to education. I hope that my real world experience as an environmental scientist and my background as an educator can help you achieve your learning goals.

I tutor differently than many, and make study guides and relevant curriculum tailored to your students needs! I have found this tailored approach yields better results than cookie-cutter sessions. These handmade materials are specific to your child’s needs, and are theirs to keep after the session to aid in their independent study!
These materials take time to prepare. Thus, my rate is $50 for the first hour to accommodate prep, and $20 per additional hour.
