About Alisha
My name is Alisha and I am a university student who is currently studying business & psychology.
I have grown a strong passion for teaching over the recent years through tutoring my two younger sisters through their GCSEs allowing them to succeed and move into the next phases of their higher education.
I believe everyone can succeed in maths with the right support and guidance. Watching my sisters move from struggling to feeling confident and empowered is incredibly rewarding. I know that maths can seem intimidating, but I’m here to help you break down those barriers, build self-assurance, and show you how maths can be both useful and enjoyable.

I focus on creating a supportive and engaging environment so students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their difficulties so we can tackle these together. I believe each student will have a different learning style so my goal is to identify how they best learn and adapt my lessons to this way in order to match their individual needs. To make complex topics understandable, I break down concepts into smaller, manageable steps, using real-world examples and visual aids. Additionally, I incorporate regular feedback sessions to ensure they grasp each topic before moving forward.
Most of my lessons are an hour long as this is the ideal duration for focus and engagement, however based on needs longer lessons are available.
I hold an A in GCSE Maths , and have experience in A level maths. Maths has been a favourite subject for me allowing me to thrive in it and be able to teach it to others in a confident way.
I work with students at both primary and secondary school level (age 7-16), of all abilities weather it's those struggling with foundational concepts or those aiming for higher grades in their GCSEs.
