About Sherrie
I have a Master of Education degree with a concentration in reading, and a Doctor of Education degree that was utilized to teach college reading and writing to university students for many years.My reading resource materials are science-based and align with the structured Orton Gillingham method of teaching reading. This method was initially designed for students diagnosed with dyslexia but supports all students who want to become proficient readers.

The reading lessons are engaging and multi-sensory. The curriculum is four levels: K-Adult. Once a starting point is determined, I will follow the science-based lessons for the identified level. Weekly evaluation will inform students and parents of the progress made.

We were so blessed to have Sherrie tutor our son in math his 6th grade year. Sherrie made our son feel loved, encouraged, built his confidence up and helped show him he could overcome his challenges in math. She helped him understand how to solve his math problems in a way that he could understand and built on that. Our son enjoyed his time with Sherrie and was thankful for all the help, support & encouragement she gave him.
