About Abbey
I began tutoring junior high/middle school students when I was a Senior in high school (7 years ago) and the passion for helping others learn has stuck with me. I continued my tutoring through college and I am still looking for students. I have seen some of my high school students go on to pursue English degrees, business degrees, Animal Science, and Engineering degrees. In my junior high/middle school students, I've seen many of them joining clubs such as speech, drama, student council, band, choir, and sports. Getting the feed back from them that they feel confident in keeping their grades up because they aren't afraid to ask questions anymore. Confidence is key, and Confidence is what they learn.

Hello! My name is Abbey and I love everything to do with reading and writing! I am a Graduate from Iowa State University, (GO CYCLONES), and in my spare time, I enjoy helping students with their reading and writing skills. The more you interact with your skills, the better you become with them! This is what fuels my students and gets them engaged in their learning. I offer a variety of learning skills to choose from based on your needs.
Examples:
Writing help: cursive, grammar, essays, creative writing, reports (book/lab), journals, MLA formating, research papers.
Reading help: Timed readings, speech impediment, speech volume (confidence building).
