About Akilah
I am a licensed teacher who has endorsements in English, Special Education K-12 and I am endorsed as a Reading Specialist. I have taught special education in all grades. I have taught middle and high school English in novel studies as well as general English. I have been a reading specialist for the past 5 years and work with individuals as well as small groups to target specific needs for each student I work with.

I have been teaching students for the past 20 yearsin all subjects. I started in preschool teaching children the necessary skills for a good foundation in reading when they begin elementary school. once I received my teaching license, I began working as a special education teacher. I have taught children from the age of 5 all the way up through 12th grade. I enjoy working with students and helping them to succeed.
