  • When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

I developed an interest in piano when I was six years old and began taking piano lessons. Piano quickly became something I looked forward to each week, and it gradually became a big part of my life. As I continued learning and improving, I realized that piano was not only a skill, but also a way to express myself and build confidence. I have always loved teaching and helping others, and even as a child, I knew I wanted to become a piano teacher one day. That early love for music and teaching motivated me to work hard, grow as a musician, and pursue piano teaching long-term.
  • What makes you passionate about your subject?

What makes me passionate about piano is that it is both artistic and meaningful. Piano is not just about playing the right notes, but also about expressing emotion and creating something beautiful. I love that piano can help students build strong life skills like focus, patience, and discipline. It teaches students how to set goals and stay motivated through consistent effort. It is very rewarding to watch students grow over time, especially when they begin to feel proud of their progress and start enjoying music more deeply. Seeing students gain confidence and truly connect with the music is one of the most meaningful parts of teaching.
  • What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a “Superprof”?

What I love most about tutoring is supporting students through their learning and helping them feel confident. Piano can sometimes feel challenging at first, so it is important for students to feel encouraged every step of the way. I enjoy seeing students gradually improve, develop stronger technique, and become more comfortable at the piano. What makes me a Superprof is that I genuinely care about each student and their progress. I teach in a clear and structured way, while personalizing lessons based on each student’s goals and learning style. Whether a student is learning for fun or working toward long-term goals like RCM exams, I aim to make lessons productive, motivating, and enjoyable.
  • Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

Yes. My own piano teacher has inspired me and guided me through piano for many years. She supported me throughout my musical journey and helped me grow not only as a pianist, but also as a person. She taught me how to work through challenges, stay disciplined, and believe in myself even when something felt difficult. Through her, I learned that great teachers do more than teach music. She helped build my confidence, brought out my potential, and supported me through moments of frustration. I am always grateful for her guidance, and it has shaped the way I teach today. She inspires me to guide my students with the same patience, care, and encouragement.
  • What are your keys to success?

My keys to success are daily practice and a positive mindset. Piano progress comes from consistency, and practicing each day leads to strong improvement over time. A positive mindset is just as important because learning piano is a journey, and challenges are a normal part of growth. Every student will have moments when a piece feels difficult or progress feels slow, but what matters most is staying patient and trusting the process. I always remind students that mistakes are part of learning, and every challenge is a chance to improve. With consistent practice and step-by-step feedback, students can improve tremendously and feel proud of what they can accomplish.
