About Alex
As a practising artist and qualified Higher Education Lecturer (FHEA, PGCert HE), I have over five years of experience as a BA/MFA Lecturer at institutions like the RCA, Kingston School of Art and Arts University Bournemouth.
My teaching spans all Fine Art media, with a specialism in experimental moving image, sound, and installation. I bring this deep expertise to tutoring all levels, from GCSE to MFA, helping you build strong portfolios and refine your creative voice. I provide expert feedback to help you refine your artistic practice and deepen your understanding of contemporary art, whether your goal is to secure a place at a top art school, finish your degree or expand your professional practice.
My teaching fosters confidence, creativity, and technical excellence, transforming your ideas into ambitious and refined artwork. I offer hands-on technical training in Premiere Pro and video editing. I have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent students, creating a structured, neurodivergent-affirming environment with flexible pacing and clear, empathetic instruction to help you thrive.
I also offer dedicated support for academic writing, dissertations, and personal statements, as well as focused interview preparation sessions to help you articulate your work with clarity and conviction. I offer online and in-person sessions, either at your home or in my studio in Camberwell, London.

* Academic Writing and Personal Statements: I can help you strengthen your essays, dissertations, and contextual studies assignments. You'll get guidance on academic protocols, writing, and research.
* Interview Preparation: I run confidence-building sessions to ready you to articulate your work and artistic practice with clarity and conviction.
* Film/Video/Sound and Moving Image: Technical sessions tailored to your needs and goals.
