About Alex
I have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and was graded outstanding by my awarding university (University College London). I have experience of teaching pupils with a range of capabilities and I am committed to providing all with a high level of challenge in order to stretch pupils to their highest potential.
I have tutored in person and online for 3 years now and have received positive feedback regarding helping pupils to achieve higher grades in public exams than their teachers' predictions.
I am not only motivated to ensure that pupils achieve success in their exams. I strongly believe in the importance of fostering interest and curiosity in their chosen subject. This reflects in my style of tutoring - I ensure lessons are pupil focussed, interactive and engaging. I also aim to utilise pupils' time outside of the scheduled tutor session in order to consolidate learning and to encourage the pupil to develop independent learning skills.

Alex taught me for 6 months in the lead up to my A-Level. She was very patient and encouraged me to push myself. She made the lessons really interactive and fun but still informative. I really think she helped me to do well and achieve highly in my exams, as she made themes that I found complicated and confusing feel much more manageable and understandable
