About Carl
My passion for teaching comes from a genuine love of helping others learn and grow. I aim to create lessons that are relaxed, positive, and fun, because when students enjoy learning, they build confidence and make real progress.
I’m a 37-year-old New Zealander with a background in design and postgraduate training in education. I love football, art, and music, and I play guitar in my spare time. I enjoy using creativity in my lessons to keep students engaged and motivated.
While I enjoy teaching a range of subjects, I am especially keen to work with students in English, Mathematics, and Guitar. My lessons are tailored to each learner’s needs and learning style.

My teaching approach focuses on contextual learning and discussion, helping students build deep understanding by linking new concepts to prior knowledge. I tailor each lesson to the individual needs of the learner, ensuring lessons are both effective and motivating.
