About Freya
Hello everyone, my name is Freya and I can't wait to share my knowledge and passion for learning with you.
I'm a qualified teacher, archaeologist and published writer with nearly 10 years' experience of teaching both in the classroom and online and the pride I feel in seeing each of my pupils grow in confidence through our time together is what inspires me to continue teaching and meet new pupils every term.
My passions lie within the arts, especially history (I have a degree in Ancient History and Archaeology as well as my PGCE) geography, R.E and English, however over the last five years I've re-discovered a love for maths and I thoroughly enjoy breaking down trickier equations to solve with my pupils as I support them through their GCSEs.
Outside of teaching I'm a huge women's football fan and podcast host and I'll always look to use the interests of my students in our sessions (where appropriate) to make the sessions more personal and fun!

I believe the best way to learn is when you're having fun so I make sure every single one of my sessions is individually tailored to my pupils and how I can best support them on their learning journey.
This ensures the content I'm delivering is not only essential to improving and developing current attainment to achieve their target goal but the subject matter itself is engaging and interactive to get the most out of our sessions together.
I have experience and thoroughly enjoy teaching a range of subjects from both upper KS2 including 11+ subjects but my specialism in the arts has seen me support pupils with their English, Maths, History, R.E. and Geography up to GCSE standard.
I will always recommend booking in a one-hour slot for my sessions as that gives us time to introduce, practise and then consolidate whichever topic has been the focus of the session that day.
