About Richard
I've worked in education for almost 20 years, teaching in both Universities and in Secondary Schools. As a trained science teacher I can teach Biology, Chemistry or Physics at a wide range of levels depending on your needs. I can also teach about the nature of education itself, e.g. theories of learning, models of development, etc.
I'm an expert in study techniques and apply various methods to improve learning using research from the cognitive sciences. I can also advise on writing, including the structuring of large pieces of writing, as well as support for grammar, punctuation and spelling.
My PhD was gained at the University of Exeter Graduate School of Education, and focuses on how digital technologies can be used effectively in teaching and learning. As you can imagine, I make use of a wide range of digital tools to enhance my teaching - and hence your learning!
