About Sylvia
Prior to becoming a qualified science teacher, I mentored and coached young people for many years. Being an inspiration for young people is the reason I chose to become a teacher.
With my teaching experience, I understand the perspective of a student in the position of trying to achieve good result. For anyone trying to understand the concepts within maths and science, I work to break down big ideas, and better explain them in a simpler ways to consolidate understanding.
I also have experience of working in Higher education where I mentored and supported level 4 to level 7 university students.

I am a pharmaceutical chemistry graduate. I am also a qualified teacher with PGCE chemistry.
